Bag-counting & dispatch line

Bags counted at the loading point, with the count shown where the loading crew can see it. SMART bag counters sit on the chute, conveyor or loader and can stop the line at the set count.

Bag-counting line. Bags travel from the packer along a conveyor to a truck loader. A sensor on the loader feeds a wall-mounted counter showing the count, set count and truck number. At the set count a relay stops the conveyor; a pre-alarm sounds for the last 10 bags. Network models send counts by Ethernet to a dispatch-office PC. How it works

  1. 01

Fit the sensor at the spiral chute, conveyor, packer idler or loader: sensing head, non-contact (BC-L03), diffused optic (BC-DO) or dual optic (BC-0).

  2. 02

Set the batch count for the truck or wagon on the keypad; models such as BC-L-03 and BC-DO also take the truck or wagon number.

  3. 03

The counter shows the running count in 3.5 or 4 in digits, plus totaliser and set count on the larger models.

  4. 04

At the last 10 bags a pre-alarm sounds; at the set count a relay contact can stop the conveyor or loader.

  5. 05

Counts are kept through power cuts. Network models send counts by Ethernet or wireless to Windows software, with long-loop repeater stations for a remote PC.
