What it does

The field station of the SMART MCS-III plant PA system. Press PAGE and your voice goes out over every loudspeaker; anyone at another WMHS-IIIPT presses TALKBACK and answers privately. The phone runs on line voltage, so field posts need no power.

Plant PA system

Paging and private talk across a whole plant, in two architectures. MCS-II puts a 30 W amplifier in every PA telephone and needs no amplifier rack; MCS-III keeps line-powered phones in the field and drives 100 V loudspeaker lines from central 250 W amplifiers.
