Plant PA system

Paging and private talk across a whole plant, in two architectures. MCS-II puts a 30 W amplifier in every PA telephone and needs no amplifier rack; MCS-III keeps line-powered phones in the field and drives 100 V loudspeaker lines from central 250 W amplifiers.

Two plant PA architectures. MCS-II: PA telephones with their own 30 W amplifier and horn, wired to an MCS-II master station, with an operator console and EPABX trunk lines. MCS-III: line-powered telephones wired to a rack with the MCS-III, EXA 250 W amplifiers and power supply, driving 100 V loudspeaker lines.MCS-II · amplifier in every phoneZONE 1ZONE 2 … 12WMHS-IIWMHS-IIWMHS-IIWMHF-IIWMHF-IIWMHF-IIMCS-IImaster stationEPABXup to 4 trunksOC-DTHS-II2-core 0.5 mm cable · loops up to 2000 m · 30 W at each phoneMCS-III · central amplifiersWMHS-IIIPTWMHS-IIIPTWMHS-IIIPTlinepoweredLSODLSODLSOD100 V loudspeaker lines · up to 12MCS-IIIEXA 250 WEXA 250 WPCUOC-DTHS-III2-pair

How it works

  1. 01

Field phones go where people work: WMHS-II or WMHF-II PA telephones on an MCS-II, or WMHS-IIIPT line-powered phones on an MCS-III.

  2. 02

Each phone runs back to the master control station on ordinary telephone cable: 0.5 mm 2-core twisted pair, with loops up to 2000 m on the MCS-II.

  3. 03

Dial a phone to page at that location, press a zone code or zone key to page one of up to 12 zones, or use all-call to reach every zone.

  4. 04

Lift the handset (MCS-II) or press TALKBACK (MCS-III) and the conversation goes private on its own channel.

  5. 05

The operator console in the control room pages, dials and monitors; up to 4 consoles per system.

  6. 06

Up to 4 trunk lines from the plant EPABX patch in, so office phones can reach the field.
